Adapted from the graphic novels, the Deadly Class campaign pulled inspiration from 1980s punk, comic book textures and DIY teenage rebellion which is at the core of the show itself. The goal was to stay authentic to source material as well as the '80s era without things feeling too trendy or nostalgic. The millennial audience was a big target so social engagement highlighted by the young and diverse cast was crucial.
